I've been looking at posters of horror films to carry on the horror genre. I've taken a look on the poster for scream 4, as it ties into what our film is about. I've noticed the poster is mainly black and it doesn't contain many colours, just white and red, this makes it simple but still effective. I've been thinking of following this rule and only having 3 colours in my poster as it is simple yet effective.
I have also looked at the poster for "Nightmare on Elm street", it has various shades of red and brown and also has black. It has a sombre feel, therefore fitting to the genre of horror. The image itself is also quite creepy and scary, the face of the subject is also hidden with a hat .
I've realised that both these posters have a small phrase on the poster, that can include some fear therefore fitting into the genre of horror, i shall also adopt this method and add a phrase into my poster.
